This sculpture trio celebrates the heart of winter on Lake Macatawa — a place where quiet patience meets joyful discovery.
Louis Padnos, founder of PADNOS and a patient fisherman, who fished as often as he could, year-round, was known for telling his grandchildren, “You have to be quiet, or you’ll scare the fish away.” His words remind us to slow down and listen to the stillness of nature.
Nearby, a mother steadies her daughter as she takes her first glide across the ice, passing along the confidence, warmth, and laughter that make family moments so lasting.
